Compare and Contrast
Choo Choo Party!
So, they turned two years old and we had a little party. Best part I think, was that all the Grandparents were there. Oh and I made a cake that looked like a choo-choo train and it didn't taste like cardboard. Small favors...
Sam and Olivia seemed to know that it was a party for them and interestingly they seemed surprised to get presents as well as cake, hats, noisemakers and guests. Their first foray into excess. Yikes! However, the party comes and goes, the little trains, books and other gifts are wrapped in their tiny hands for, well, at least a couple of days.
Seems like these guys have done a good job ushering in the two's. Josh and I just really hope to survive. Lord willing and the creek don't rise. God bless our little family.
Love,
Susan

Busy
Having some play time on the couch in their new fall clothes and sneaks. Olivia is investigating her treasure bag aka Mom's old purse and Sam is busy playing with our Millie Doll given to us by our much loved cousin Maggie.

Bye-Bye's!
Sam and Olivia have taken to playing a game. It's called Bye-Bye. The whole game is this: Somebody gets ready to go bye-bye and they kiss and hug everybody before they go. So cute. This is the kind of stuff that really takes the edge off the terrible two double tantrums.

Yum!
Josh went out with the kiddos this morning. Leaving me little bit of time to make them a cute lunch! I am finding two year olds (or almost 2) have their obvious issues but little "special" moments, ala the cute lunch, provide them with an extraordinary amount of joy. Kinda evens things out. Kinda!
